Default Some Contacts Missing from Device

Please Login to Remove!

I have a user with a large number of contacts (2,500 or so) in their Outlook/Exchange mailbox - synchronizing wirelessly through BES. A number of the contacts are missing from the BB device however. I haven't been able to determine a common element among the missing contacts - they seem to be a random selection. I've also poked through the BES logs and nothing jumped out as an obvious error. Does anyone have some suggestions for where to start looking to troubleshoot?

I'd start with the Outlook contacts.

If their contact in Outlook is missing data in the First name, Last name, and Company field, the contact will not sync to the Blackberry.

Data must be in one of those 3 fields in order for syncing.

I can't say for sure that *all* of the missing contacts have data in one of those fields, but I do know that the ones I looked at specifically had names entered for them.

Default 2590

Hi - I have a similar issue. New entries don't seem to be coming through from my pc. I have 2590 entries. I am wondering if there is an upper limit on the number of contacts but I can't find a reference in any technical data. Anyone got any ideas? - Nick

I have a few BES users with over 2000 contacts.. I am not sure if they have anything above 2500 though.

If you contacts are no longer synced wirelessly but once did you may want to contact the BES Admin.

They could be corrupt contacts, have you tried to re-create a few of the ones that are not carring over. How much free memory do you have on your hand helds?
