Default OS: 9500 4.7.0.161 / 4.7.0.113 (Multilanguage)

Please Login to Remove!

Software For BlackBerry® Storm(TM) smartphone
From simobile (Slovenia)
Multilanguage; contains English
This will load to any carrier's 9500.
Not for the 9530 model.

BlackBerry Handheld Software v4.7.0.141 (Multilanguage)

Package Version: 4.7.0.161
Consisting of:
Applications: 4.7.0.113
Software Platform: 4.0.0.144
File name: 9500M_PBr4.7.0_rel161_PL4.0.0.144_A4.7.0.113.ex e
File size: 117MB
Note: The Software Platform and Applications version numbers can be found under Options-About screen on the handheld.

Download here:
http://upload.simobil.si/9500M_PBr4....A4.7.0.113.exe

or here: http://www.simobil.si/sl/inside.cp2?...linkid=article

Instructions for installing either version on ANY carrier's 9500:

1. Download the above OS file to the PC then install it to the PC by running (double clicking) the file you downloaded.
2. Go to c:\program files\common files\research in motion\apploader and delete the file named "vendor.xml."
3. Plug in BB and double click on "Loader.exe." It's located in the same place as the above vendor.xml file.

The process takes about 45 minutes to an hour depending on how much data you have to backup and restore during the process. Once it's done loading the new OS it will reboot (it may do this twice during the entire process.) You will see a white screen with an hourglass for up to 20 minutes at a time while the DM says "waiting for initialization."
If, for some reason, you end up with a white screen with small icons and the number 507, simply connect to the PC again and run Loader.exe again and it should load the OS to the device.

For the earlier releases of this OS, see:

I loaded .114 on my storm...

When i place a call and need to type an extension in.. i hit the keypad button the screen... and it shows the regular full keyboard. Not the keypad... there was no option to go to multitape or anything...

There have been numerous threads explaining how to use the cod files for the keyboard from .109

So your telling me that in this case it works?

Also,

I noticed with .114 the screen changing was clunky... It has a much better zip in 109.

Please keep in mind I have wiped my storm everytime before loading a new os.

Please confirm that the items above are not a problem on .113

thanks

as said before, during a call, keypad is shown
also screen change is much better than .100

after reading many post in other forums, everyone agrees that .113 is waaaaaay better than .114

so I personally recommend the upgrade

Do we have a changelog for this release?

I was using 100 and I cannot say I am seeing evident differences.

The bug with the mp3-player is gone..

Faster from portrait-Landscape

A addon-type of frame when you tape so you can erase and change the letters when typing..

Better battery...

Camera is a little faster too
