Default Mute button issue

Have not had that problem yet, guess I'm not pressing hard enough against my face.

Fixed this problem very easily after a short talk with VZW tech assist.

Go into options/service books. There is a service book called updateOTA or something like that. DELETE this service book. Now hit the menu button and immediately select UNDELETE. Now back out to the home screen and wait 2 mins. Now go back in to options/advanced and wireless update will now be available.

Hope this helps someone.

Anyone have a fix for that?
My wife and I both agree with the poor design of the touchscreen functions while on a call... if we're holding the phone, it's fine... however, the second we sandwich the phone between our shoulder and our cheek if we need to use both hands for something else, we put the call on mute and don't realize until the person we're talking to is about ready to hang up on us.

That and how about locking the phone in portrait mode when the phone rings. I'm not going to talk on the phone in landscape mode, and I sure hate chasing the answer button around the touchscreen while it flips back and forth. Same when the phone is locked...

Gee, I hope someone from RIM actually reads this stuff.

Yup, I totally agree with this, why in the world would they allow the phone to change viewing modes?
At least add an option to disable it.

Just so you guys know, when I receive a call and I'm going to sandwhich the phone between my ear/shoulder, I hit the calander button and I'm usually good (it hits a button here or there but nothing damaging).

If RIM would let us lock the screen while in phone mode, this phone would ROCK.

RIM, LET US LOCK THE SCREEN WHILE IN PHONE MODE!!!

I'll agree and add something to it - allow us to modify the easy access keys so that the left one is speaker, the right is mute, but only if the phone is active, and only if it is the primary application on the screen.
