Default Won't sync

Please Login to Remove!

I'm giving my dad my 8830 since I upgraded to a Storm. I have all of my info wiped from it. I was trying to show him how it will sync with outlook. I have everything set up and mapped but DM just flashes with no errors and doesn't sync. My question is does the BB need to be active w/ service books for it to sync?

Sounds like you just need to go through the DM sync settings again. Do you have the sync direction set right?

I have it outlook overwriting the Bb and I have it mapped to his profile. As a note I'm running em 5.01

DM does show the BB is connected, right?


And what about the profile option in DM?

Yes to both when I go to sync I get a grey box that comes up as if its syncing then it flashes and disappears

Try uninstalling/reinstalling the Desktop Manager. Sometimes when Desktop Manager is installed on a computer with Outlook, the MAPI profile the DM makes with the Outlook does not configure correctly. A simple uninstall/reinstall should take care of that.
