Default Just got my First Blackberr!! But the BlackBatteries only last 8 hours?

Please Login to Remove!

Hi, I just got my first blackberry curve 8530 two days ago. Since I've gotten it, I have not been able to have it charged for more than 8-9 hours. I left it on overnight to charge the first night, and when I woke up in the morning it was full. By the end of the workday at 6pm it was totally dead. The thing is, I use my work phone all day, and hardly used the blackberry at all! All I had was a 15 minute phone call and two texts. This doesn't seem normal, can anyone help me???

If the device is new, warranty the battery. If not, buy a new battery.

Check to make sure you have any unnecessary apps closed.

If you have only the essential programs running, that does sound like it's time for a new battery.

Thanks for the advice so far. I didn't know that apps could run in the background draining the battery. I closed some, so hopefully that will help

@ Viciousewok!
I do not want you to be disappointed and leave all the efforts but i do not feel like staying quiet after reading all of this.
My mobile phone's software got mad and somehow the applications were running in background invisibly and draining my battery.
Until i had to go the service center and buy a new software for my cell phone.
So this might be the case with your phone.

Wow. Most of your replies are simply repeating what others have said. This one is just illiterate.
