Wirelessly posted (BlackBerry Curve 8900)

I believe it is possible. I do this with my car's aux input when the BlackBerry is connect via a 3.5mm cable. When I get a call I simply put it on speaker phone and I can hear the call over the car's speakers. If the aux tape funtions similarly it should be the same.

I have tested it out with my cassette adapter and my 8320...when you make/take a call while the adapter is plugged into the bb and in the tape deck, the sound goes over the car speakers and the mic on the bb picks up your voice. I didn't even have to put in on speakerphone. Kinda cool.

OK, you'd have speakers, so you could listen through your radio RECEIVER. To the best of my knowledge however, unless your car has built-in Bluetooth, your car's audio equipment is not going to have either a TRANSMITTER, or a microphone, two very, very important components if you plan to talk to the other party.

Talking to a speaker is less effective than talking to a tin can.

EDIT: I just read the post about having the phone in Speakerphone mode and using the mic on the BB. I suppose this could work, but then you might as well just use the phone's speaker to listen as well.

I wonder what would happen if you were listening to Pandora on the BB plugged into the car stereo and then you get a call. Is the ringer going to play through the speakers? Is it going to be really loud and startle the driver...cause a crash and innocent people die? if you answer the call, does the music stop?

All very important questions to answer before jacking the BB into the sound system.

If you're listening to a radio application or media player application while driving and plugged into your car's stereo AUX, the music will temporarily pause to allow the incoming call, but it doesn't ring through the car speakers; just the normal handset ringing... If you choose to answer and proceed with the call over the car speakers, simply press the green Talk button and then the Speaker button.

Also, answering the call does pause the music on the BB until call is ended.

Hope this helps!

Wow, all the questions have been answered...it's safe to let the BB rock out in the car. Thanks.
