Default Syncing Entourage 2008

Please Login to Remove!

I'm trying to sync my Entourage 2008 calendar with my blackberry 8830 (if it matters, I'm running Leopard and connecting over USB.) I'm able to sync the BB with iCal via PocketMac, which also syncs with Entourage using Sync Services. Unfortunately, there are some problems in getting events from the BB to Entourage.

In iCal there are two different calendars, "Entourage" and "PocketMac", each automatically created by their respective programs.
-Creating an event on the BB shows up in iCal under "PocketMac", which Entourage does not sync with its own calendar
-Creating an event in Entourage shows up in iCal under, obviously, "Entourage" which is subsequently synced to the BB

So under this set-up, any events created on my computer will be copied to the blackberry, but any events created on the BB won't get any farther than iCal. Any help at all would be greatly appreciated.

PocketMac doesn't support M$ Entourage 2008. You can Missing Sync for BlackBerry I think they offer Entourage '08 support.

Apparently no one directly supports Entourage 2008 due to the fact that it now syncs exclusively through Sync Services, but based on what I've seen Missing Sync simply does what I've been doing through PocketMac (i.e., using iCal to transfer data between the BB and Entourage.)

The entourage help blog (Warning: Syncing with Entourage 2008 (The Entourage Help Blog)) describes the same process I've been using, as do a number of posts on this forum, but I can't figure out how to deal with the problem of the different calendars in iCal. Has anyone had any luck using this method, or with Missing Sync doing it for them?

Missing Sync will allow you to only sync a single calendar. In your case, you'd want to sync your Entourage iCal between your Mac and BB. This way any events you create will be placed into the correct iCal and then pushed over to Entourage during it's Sync event.

I know that Missing Sync doesn't create any new Calendar in iCal, it just uses what you have.

Hope that helps.

Default Syncing Entourage 2008

I would also refrain from making changes to Address Book and iCal. Do all your changes on the BlackBerry or Entourage. ISync is very easy to confuse.

Currently, I am using Missing Sync with my BlackBerry Curve because I have had a lot of success with the other Missing Syncs. (Palm and Windows Mobile)

I currently sync the BlackBerry and a iPod Touch without trouble. Just use Address Book/iCal as a common point.

I've had to keep both Office 2004 and 2008 on my system because nothing seems to work well with a single version. I couldn't get Entourage 2008 to play with Pocket Mac so I left the 2004 version. I like working with .docx files and like the look of the new version so that stays but then again so does Word 2004 because Endnote does not work with the new version. Brutal.

On a positive note I've just found the Docs to Go found in OS4.5 supports .docx files!!
