Default Will switching from U/L BB email to data plan make a diff?

Please Login to Remove!

Hello,

I have a bb(w/ Rogers), and I am wondering if I switch to a data plan, from the ulim email plan, will I have to access my email differently?

I mean, currently, my email gets pushed to my phone. If I switch to a data plan, will I have to open a browser and check my email that way instead?

Thanks,
boldover

No, nothing will change other than the fact that you'll be able to surf the net.

cool...thanks. I am going to see about getting a data plan instead of the UL email.

Is surfing on a bb painful? I tried surfing on wifi in the past, but it was so slow that I haven't bothered to surf.

I wonder if there has been any upgrade to BB's web surfing experience?

Web-surfing is not the Blackberry's forte, that's for sure.

Yes, I agree...so then data on the bb would be good for what else?

Using gps, locating info online in a pinch? I am trying to convince myself to get a data plan.

data plan would give you access to apps like Facebook, myspace, google maps etc.

Well, you're talking to the wrong guy, lol. I've stayed with the UL Email plan and use Wi-Fi if I need to surf the web. Data would be useful if you want to use web-related apps, Facebook, etc.
