Question This BlackBerry is registered with a different service provider!

Please Login to Remove!

Few days ago I bought my first Blackberry on eBay. Today I wanted to register my BlackBerry, but I can't:

This BlackBerry is registered with a different service provider. Please re-register this BlackBerry and verify the URL matches the one provided by your service provider

What should I do?
Please help and sorry for my bad english.

You need to contact the previous owner, if possibel, and have them remove the blackberry from their account. If that's not possible, you might be able to get the carrier to free the blackberry if you are lucky.

There's an article at blackberryfaq.com that may help. It is meant to be used before buying, but it will give you a heads up about other potential issues. See http://www.blackberryfaq.com/index.p...Berry_off_eBay.

May not be possible. If you can't get it registered, you may have to ask for a refund through PayPal since you bought it on eBay.

Not necessarily your carrier. The carrier the previous owner registered the blackberry with. And it is not a given that the carrier will do it. From what I read of the experiences of others, it could depend on who you talk to and how you ask.
