Default Can't find a case I like

Please Login to Remove!

so far, the only thing i do like is the included sleeve. i just wish it were leather.
i keep my phone in my front pant pocket most of the time, so most the the seido stuff doesnt work for me. i have the oem bb lambskin case, but i dont want a belt clip.

where do i go from here? i prefer a sleeve i guess, something that covers the face.

help! lol

I'm in the same boat as Anthony. I keep my device in my pants pocket most the time. So the open face protective shields are not particulary useful. I don't want the keyboard or the trackball to be accidentally activated. And I also dislike the sleeve/pouch because it adds bulk to the device in my pocket and it restricts quick access to it when you need it.

I don't mind paying a premium for a solution that addresses the above concerns.

Thanks

I had the same need for a slim case without a belt clip, as I do not wear phones on my belt. Also I wanted something to protect it from "pocket lint", yet thin enough so I could still carry my BB in my pocket.

Looked for some time, then found this company (link below) I purchased the RexRegina Morgan Case. I could not be happier, a bit expensive until you see it. The most useful and beautiful leather case ever. It's very slim, very well made of very high quality materials. I've had mine a year and it's better than new, as it's like any leather product and once it's broken in, it's even softer and easier to slide your BB in an out of. It's very scratch resistant, and the stitching is very strong. I highly endorse this product. (and no, I do not work for them) Just a very happy customer that finally found a good line of cases.

That RexRegina case does look nice, but does it include the magnet to put the phone in stand-by mode? That would be a deal killer for me.

I don't know.

When I bought mine, they did not, but I heard they were going to start including it. For me I don't like the idea of the magnet, as I already get such good battery life, even with my heavy hourly usage, that I don't care to have to modify all the "in holster" profiles to my preferences. Mind spends more time out of the case being used, the only time it's in the case is when I'm moving around. In the car it's on the center console, in a meeting it's right in front of me on the table, and at home it's out, where ever I am.

I have more than gotten my moneys worth out of each and every BlackBerrry I've purchased. Especially since they just work. Every time. No messing around with downtime and other problems one has with Windows Mobile. (I know I've tried it).

The Fortte leather case I have been using for my 8830 is a very nice accessory...nice leather, good protection, not bulky at all...and the clip is detachable for those times I want to carry the unit in my pocket. I think the price was $30. Leather PDA cases, PDA case - Stylish Elegant Functional leather PDA cases and handheld cases by Fortte.. Good luck.

Default Here's Another one.....

Vaja Leather Products

Click on Phones, then Blackberry, then 8800/8820/8830, and the click on the product on the bottom right.

Handcrafted in Buenos Aires, Argentina; and takes 15 days plus shipping time. Start @ $70 and able to customize.

Hope this helps.

...and don't forget that Fortte offers 25% off to BBForum members. Details on the sponsor page. I've used their case with my 8700 for over a year, and just ordered one for my 8320.

Just ordered the Fortte case WITH the discount!

Thank you very much for the heads up on the case (best looking I have seen so far) and the discount (the discount payes for the shipping and a little more!)

Much appreciated

Default Cases?

I'm a chick who either has my BB in my purse or a pants pocket and I have used the OEM silicone skins for both my pearl and my curve. I love em, got the pearl skin in black 1st and at first it collected alot of lint/dust but with time it seemed to have absorbed some oils from my skin (presumably) and the lint/dust problem dissipated immensely. I now have a curve and ordered the white OEM skin for it and it doesn't have the issue as the pearl one, it seems the silicone is a bit different. Either way I add a screen protector and I'm good to go, and a very happy camper. Great tactile feel, minimal bulk and no clips to deal with. And if the phone is on vibrate it doesn't walk off the table when it rings.

I ordered both of my cases from ebay approx. $10 including shipping.

Just my 2 cents worth.

I also like the included case and the one downside was that is wasn't leather. So I will be checking out the Rex Regina for my Curve.

One thing Kevin - do they all have the sleeper magnet? It only says this on the non-embossed leather cases. What about the two versions? ( The embossed ones).

I'm a chick too (who doesn't carry a purse) and I found a wallet case on Ebay (after several days of looking) that will allow me to carry my DL and other IDs without too much bulk.
