It looks like a good way to prevent pressing one of the side buttons while going to grab the phone too

No, Storm has to be "naked" to go into the cradle.

Does anybody know if the material this is made with is similar to the RIM branded silicone skin that is kind of rubbery and sticky? I have a problem with this skin because it doesn't slip into and out of my pocket easily, and it tends to pull other things out of my pocket with it (like money). I'm looking for one that is a smooth texture.

Also, will you be able to easily remove and re-insert the Storm into this skin? I have a desktop cradle at work and at home, so I will need to be taking it off and putting it back on at least a few times a day.

This is a bit different than your typical silicon skin, the cases by seidio are easily slid in and out of your pocket, i.e. they do not tend to stick to your pockets.

As I asked previously, will I be able to remove the Storm from the case multiple times a day to place it in the cradle? I know some of your cases snap together and they wouldn't last if the device were removed constantly.

If you want to remove it, then take it out of the case, its not too difficult. Pop it out of the case when you want to put it in the cradle. Its not going to be like taking a skin off and on, will be a bit more difficult than that.

If it's like the one for the iphone, the bottom will snap off to avoid having to remove the whole case for placing it in the cradle

You are still going to need to remove the whole case to put it in a cradle. That is just how the design is. Kind of like the ones INCASE makes for the iPhone.

Cradle is a tight fit for the Storm, people have complained that having invsi-shield on their storms makes it incredibly tight for the cradle.

All these cases leave an access point on the side of the phone to allow the use of the OEM wall charger. The whole "cradle" charger notion is simply a marketing ploy to get you to spend money on another charger.

I think the best route is a rubber or case style protection with a clear screen protector. Be careful with the Zagg as, although affording great protection, it has its issues with hampering touch sensitivity.

With my case and screen protector I slide the phone into my shirt or pants pocket without issue. All the clips and belt cases make you look like a dork if you're out and about in casual situations. Sorry, even the really nice Seidio clip holster looks dorky when you are chillin' in shorts / jeans and a t-shirt.
