Hi
I have the 8310 curve from AT&T. I have called the customer service and they added the data plan with tethering. I configured everything as requested by them and I face lots of issues. Here are the test cases I followed:
Case 1:
I Reset the blackberry (remove the battery) and once everything is up and running I open the desktop manager then I connect to the internet with the blackberry.
Works for 1 minute, maybe 2 and nothing works. I can't navigate, nothing. The connection keeps up.
Case 2:
After using the blackberry for a few hours (e-mail, phone, internet), I try to connect to the internet. It does connect but the IP address is never gathered. The yellow (!) keeps showing on the connection icon.
Case 3:
During case 1 execution I receive a call or e-mail, everything drops and I can't even connect anymore. The blackberry stops working with the data services as well (can't navigate neither receive e-mails).
Is this an issue with my blackberry specific? I was using some step by step found in these forums to do the tethering before and was working fine, but, AT&T contacted me and told me they would start charging me as a pay per use if I didn't contract a service. Their service has different configurations then it was explained here.
Does anyone has a clue what is going on? AT&T support is useless and a waste of time...
