Default BES 5 Administrator Users BES Enabled?

Please Login to Remove!

Well I have my BAS servers stood up (DNS round robin) and 1 BES 5.0.3 server at this point and I created myself and another of our admins a Administrator user account in the BAS. I can see the accounts under both Administrator Users and Users section. My question is this can I BES enable our admin accounts so that they can have a device activated on them or do I need to create a regular user account in the BAS to do this?

I can see this being a issue for some of our admin personnel as they do not all have blackberry's but might get them in the future at some point. I would have to create them all administrator user accounts and then have to delete those to create regular user accounts just to get a device on the BES for them (using groups for role assignments). I would rather just create them administrator accounts and then be able to assign and activate a device on that account but I do not see a way to do that.

Is this possible? Or will I be stuck with some admins having administrator accounts and others being regular user accounts just in the admin groups.

You want to have only 1 account per user. To create an admin with a BlackBerry add the user as you would a regular user and give the the appropriate admin role.

+1 on what x14 said, you definitely do NOT want to have more than one user account per person. You can definitely "blackberry enable" an administrator user.
