Just installed the new OS last night, working great so far. But, is it just me.. or does the volume of the ringtones get quieter with each new OS...?? Anyone else experiencing this?

So it would be wise to do some housecleaning before starting an upgrade then; to help cut down on some loading time.

I think I waited long enough, gonna upgrade tonight.

Just updated, but the Today themes (esp. BB Dimension Today Plus that I was using) don't show the upcoming timed calendar entries. Battery pull didn't help. Any suggestions?

I noticed when I upgraded my OS recently that the speaker volume was a tad quieter but it also sounded like it was playing in a much higher quality, if that makes any sense.

Yea, if your call logs are not important, delete them, and I normally try to clear some messages here and here. It helps, but not a big deal.

Looks like it's an issue with which calendar is selected in the calendar app and that calendar not being displayed on the home page.

, yes that is exactly the issue. Options > Advanced > Default Service and select the calendar you want to display.

Just figured that out! LOL. Now this begs the question, how do I determine which calendar the events will be syncing with? I guess it defaults to the BB address, but I also have a work and personal email (both through BIS) set up. How can I maintain separate calendars and sync appropriately?

Also, the default messaging service doesn't seem to stick. I've got my personal account set up as the default, but whenever I test out sending a movie or picture, it defaults to my work email address.

Any suggestions?

I was hoping this would fix the issue with not being able to click "see full size image" while searching for images with Google, but no such luck. :(

Every battery pull forces the hidden apps to reappear, making you go re-edit the settings again!

So if you do a battery pull, your hidden icons remain hidden?

I even put all of the icons I don't want in a new folder and then hid the folder. Did a battery pull and the new folder was gone, and the icons were back in the default.

new release is miles ahead of the previous. browsing and text entry is fixed, alt+return to lock is back!!!!! (most annoying part of the previous release)

my gps seems to update nearly instantly, which is great for google maps, and i think overall the phone has less memory leak and runs a bit faster. Also the sound quality is improved even if it seems even more quiet then the previous build.

What do you mean by more quiet? Earpiece or speaker?

Yeah, my hidden icons stay hidden after I do a battery pull.
