Did you go get the Style, or try one out in the store? If so, what do you think about it? I just ordered one for work to try out.

NICE. OS 6, light weight, strong 3G signal, keys are "taller " then the Bold 9700 keys, sound quality is good, no screen protector required, and no butt dialing from this clamshell !

Picked mine up Sunday at the Sprint store. Overall I'm impressed. OS6 rocks of course. Battery life yesterday (first day at work with it) ran short. On the Tour that I had before I usually just barely made the 8 hour mark, yesterday did not even make 6 hours.

Fits perfectly in my pants pocket, slides in and out with ease and no need for the Otter box I had for the Tour since this stays in my pocket. Call quality sounds excellent.

Notification sounds are much louder on the phone then was on the Tour and the vibration part seems much stronger (even then when I took the Tour out of the Otter Box)

I've always liked flip phones so for me this one is a win-win after 2 days!

Does it take the same battery as the Tour?

No, not the same battery. Mine shows F-M1 on it, the Tour battery number is D-X1.

Just got mine today (for work). Love it so far, but haven't had a lot of time to play with it.

Just purchased mine last night.

Now I just need some compatible apps. Since this is a brand new phone, we now have to wait for apps like ebay, Amazon, Viigo and other big names to provide a compatible version for this phone

The apps are made compatible for the OS, not for the device. Many apps are already OS6-compatible.

Have you tried using those apps with the new phone yet?

Well, that is incorrect. Do you have this device?

Try going to download the Ebay app, Amazon App, Slingplayer App, Viigo App and let me know if they say "All devices with OS6"?. They don't, they specify models and they can tell which device you're trying to download from and it will not work be cause that "model" is not supported.

Yes, I do have the Style (see my post above where I said I just got it).

Where are you trying to download from? I don't even see those apps in AppWorld.

I also checked with a friend, and found that apps can be written for either the OS or the model (to take the screen size/resolution in to account). Looks like even and old dog can learn new tricks.

Yeah, I have to believe they are not in the app world on the style because they're not compatible.

If you go to amazon, slingmedia, ebay or Viigo's website they have links there to send the app or a link to your phone and download it.

Let me know if you have any success.

They can write for 0S6, but there are too many variations like you said in screen size for those models, they have to customize them by model.

Are you sure the eBay app isn't OS6 compatible? Most of RIM's apps are.

I am in Shreveport LA and they do not have 3G service, thank goodness for the WIFI option on this style..... I also like the visual voice mail instead of using a 3rd party app.

Visual Voice mail working fine here.
It shares the same battery as the new Pearl 3G on AT&T. If sprint doesn't have a battery for a spare tomorrow- I'll Check AT&T.

Mine is working now as well, I had to dial *38 to disable hullo mail then it started working right away. I like it much better than the 3rd party apps. I will definitely get a spare battery with a stand alone charger, its amazing how fast the new OS re boots.

After using this model about a week here are my thoughts:

1. The OS6 seems quicker and loads faster than previous versions

2. The trackpad takes some getting use to since I have been using the Tour, but it didn't take long to see the improvement

3. The battery life seems about the same as the Tour but can be shorter due to not holstering as I did the Tour

4. The camera is better but takes some practice since it has multiple scene modes

5. The display appears cleaner and a bit sharper than the Tour although the same size just turned vertically

6. The external display comes in handy so there is no need to flip open to read incoming messages

More to follow......

I was leaning towards getting the Style to replace my 9650 but I think I'm staying put for now. What I really want is a Sprint version of the 9800 or some other touchscreen model.

I have always like the flip phone form factor (say that 4 times fast!) and I still may end up getting the Style. Looks like RIM got all the little things right with this model that they got wrong on the Pearl Flip 8200.
