OK so i have tried searching (too broad), battery pull (didnt work), googling (too broad again)....I have a icon that is a circle with an arrow inside pointing down and to the left....with the red astrek....any ideas anyone???

BTW i think it has to do something with the app world but i cannot find anything in the app saying so....

There is actually a message that has the same icon. Look through your messages for an unread message, after you read that the icon should go away. At least that's what solved it for me.

Yeah thats what i figured but i have the latest verison.....now nothing will get rid of it

batt pull didnt fix it but quickpull app did....haha well nevermind....thanks guys though

I have an unrecognized notification icon too. It is two circles joined by a line at the bottom. It resembles upside-down glasses.

The icon you are talking about sounds like one I had just a few minutes ago. Its letting you know that there is an update to your Blackberry Apps application. Find your BB Apps and click on it to update it and the icon will go away. Hope this helps. BTW, new to the forum.

It is actually a notification that you have an application your purchased or got through AppWorld that has an upgrade. One app many have been recently notified of is Viigo having an update.

Anyone tell me what a notification which looks to be a globe with lines of latitude and longitude...it's at the top where notifications for sms and MMS messages show.

Really would be great if Blackberry had a reference page somewhere...

Its a WAP PUSH MESSAGE or BROWSER MESSAGES
check MESSAGES - menu - view folders
and check the two folders.
