Default Cingular/ATT New "Pearl-like" model?

Please Login to Remove!

Hi everyone

I'm a relative noob here.

Went out looking for a replacement for my BB 8800 this weekend (solid machine in my opinion, but a bit large for my taste).

Went to local Cingular store. took a stroll over to the BB "Pearl" display (8xxx series), and asked the rep about this phone. He told me "very nice phone, but you should wait until next month (April), because Blackberry is releasing a new version of this phone".
he wouldn't give any details, but did confirm that the phone he was talking about was a "Pearl-sized" (what I'm looking for) phone.

Any details from you guys on what he's talking about?

thanks for the quick replies fellas.

seems a bit odd that this is the case, because the cingular rep that i talked to made out like this was sort of a 'hush-hush' release, but the 8120 is already on their website...

any thoughts on this 8120? good, bad, ugly? looks like it should be solid to me.

Very similar to the 8100.

It does have
3.5mm headset jack
External SDcard
WiFi
Newer OS

A few other improvements that slip my mind right now

Haven't had coffee yet
