cell phone radiation !!!!
Please Login to Remove!
Hi all, I was surfing the web this morning and I came across an article in a website that talks about cell phone radiations. the radiation is called "Specific Absorption Rates (SAR) is a measure of how much radiation is absorbed by the body when the phone is sending a signal to the network." Also the article lists 1000 phones ranking them from best to worst depending on the amount or radiation it produces. You can search by a specific model or brand using the search box.
Unfortunately, our beloved blackberries were rated among the highest, to be specific 8300 and the 9000 model.
I don't know how accurate or reliable this info, but it raises my concern in a way.
pls share your point of view

Stop having your phone up against your face and get a hands free kit or bluetooth headset. Problem solved.

Yes, because keeping your phone in your pocket next to your family jewels is much better.

My wife said she seen this on the news two night ago. I was talking her into a blackberry curve (smartphone). It took me two months to talk her into it. Then I came home from work one day and she's like no way, blackberry curve are like one of the highest phones in radiation testing. I had to re talk her into it, she's back on the wagon now...lol

If you believe everything you read, anything and everything will kill you.
Remember way back when ... the AMA cited that drinking TAB would cause cancer. What they forgot to tell you was that you needed to drink roughly 800 a day for 10 years.
My guess is this article is similar. They hit you with the shock, but forgot to really qualify it.

Agreed. There's no hard to science stating what levels are 'harmful', so telling us which ones are highest/lowest is irrelevant if we don't have something to measure it against.
People thought microwave ovens were harmful too.

Also, all of the phones listed are below government accepted levels of radiation. If they weren't they wouldn't make it to the consumer except maybe the Chinese. At best, they seem to know nothing about consumer protection or at worst don't seem to care.

I'm gonna go with the foil hat idea myself. Not only will it protect me from my phone harmful radiation, it will also keep aliens from being to telepathically control me in their attempt to take over the world.

It's all money. If government is paid enough "taxes" the limits can be increased or high limits can be posted... It is a matter of convenience. You want to talk, find people or be found when you are outside, pay the price, get waves jiggling your brain.
