Default Please help!..I need to know if I can save my phone!!!

Please Login to Remove!

So I dropped my blackberry on the ground today, which is something ive done pleanty of times...however this time when I picked it up the screen was black, the led light wasnt flashing and it wouldnt turn on. It fell right on its face, theres no cosmetic damage or anything and ive dropped it pleanty of times before so I really need help here!!

Im thinking it might be the battery, if I plug it in the led is red and if i take the battery out when its plugged in the screen lights up and the 'no battery' screen pops up...

Only thing I can think of is to remove the battery, wait about 15 minutes and then put the battery back in and see what happens.

It's possible it's dead, they won't always survive being dropped.

If you think it's the battery, try a different battery.

Does your PC detect the device? If you connect the device, does DM show the PIN number?

This actually happened to me today as well. No cosmetic damage. The phone is still on bc when I email myself it vibrates and flashes the red light so it's just the screen. Because of this I'm thinking I just need a new one. Anyone have any thoughts?

Welcome to the forums.

The ribbon cable may have come dislodged with the impact of the drop. Try reseating it following these steps:

Thank you. I bet that is the problem. Unfortunately I'm at work and no one has the appropriate screwdrivers. I'm not sure whether to attempt the disassembly or take it to the sprint store. I don't want to lose any of my applications or information so I'm thinking of doing it myself. Thank you for the information.
