Can anyone who has upgraded still send MMS messages? I can't.
Browse to a picture, hit menu, there is no option to send as MMS.
Compose MMS, browse to where the pictures are, there are no files shown!

That makes 3 of us now, you, me and i think is mike187 that are having this annoying issue.
see here: http://www.blackberryforums.com/gene...-os-issue.html
P.S. If multitap works on this version then i might stick to it.

I haven't had any problems with mms, just tried sending one to confirm and all seems well.

1. Make sure you've got the desktop software installed.
2. DL and install the new device software on your PC.
3. Find and delete/rename vendor.xml
4. Plug Pearl in via USB.
5. Fire up Desktop Manager and it should detect the new device software and guide you through the upgrade.
6. DO NOT quit or unplug Pearl until the upgrade is complete. There is a long pause as it gets close to finished and you may think it's hung. Just be patient.
If you are at all unsure of this process, just ask!
Anyone... please correct this if I've misstated anything.

Excellent reminder. I just wish we can keep these steps in the "sticky" area for future reference; I always forget about the Vendor file...

I answered this in your other thread. Try typing in a subject for the MMS first, then try browsing to the pictures. Works for me.

Ah after getting the service books resent, I can now send an mms after browsing to the picture in 'media'. Composing an MMS then adding a picture is still a bit strange - first thing it does is show me a browse winder to find the picture, but no pictures are found. If I cancel out of that I can then select a recipient then add a subject then add a picture.
A little bug methinks.
Thanks for the pointer re service books.
Andy.

This OS version definitely seems quicker overall. I've only encountered two issues so far:
- the only video I have (car.avi) won't play unless I fast forwrd about 5 minutes into the movie (it played fine before). And I'd swear the video quality was better before the OS upgrade.
- not sure if this is specific to this OS, since I never downloaded thie following program before, but when I try downloading MFRadio from mfradio.sourceforge.net, the web browser goes into an endless loop of a flashing hourglass. The flashing hourglass continues even when I exit the browser (I have to reboot the device).
Finally, am I the only one who thinks it would take a programmer about 5 minutes to add a pageup.pagedown feature to the media browser, and that the music player is almost useless without it?

So Far So Good!
I downloaded the new OS and everthing seems to be running smoothly and a lot quicker as well! I am enjoying the new interface as well. I also used the new ALX files and all is well in that area. Very happy camper here in Southern California!
Are the any Berry 8100 owners in the Long Beach, CA area that would enjoy texting? Email me....

I don't think it would be legal for anyone to mirror the download for you, unfortunately.

I can't find it in this thread, but does anyone else have the problem where when they reboot their Pearl, it now launches the BB Browser and you get a 404 error? You can get out of it by hitting the end call button, but I would liek to perm remove it.
If I can get this, I will be happy with this update. Thanks to Krad's instructions that helped me get my TMobile Zen list back. That is awesome.

Oh I just found it when I updated this. Mine said internet.com, no username or password. I just changed it and rebooted and It looks good.
Thanks.
OK I am not totally satisfied with the upgrade. How do you switch from MultiTap and Suretype now? Also anyone other solutions for DST issue for those on a BES besides the one method that has been posted?
