Default Moving back to blackberry, what is the best way to setup GMail now?

Please Login to Remove!

well im receiving my Torch tomorrow and moving back to BB from an iphone.
last time i was on a BB i remember having all sorts of issues setting up my 3 gmail accounts (2 are apps) so they all stayed in proper sync.

im thinking surely this has got to be resolved now and am hoping for similair performance to the iphone where i can do anything on the handheld or pc and vice versa and everything stays in sync.

any info would be greatly appreciated.

regards

Use the BB gmail app. Not sure how many accounts it allows but I've got two gmail accounts and it would allow me to add at least one more.

The app allows some of the gmail specific features to be used like labels and stars, etc. Gmail is not my primary email account and I am not a heavy gmail user (for reasons I won't go in to here) but I do have a couple of gmail accounts for different things. If I ever started using it more, I think the app would be the way to go. You might want to check it out.

Check it out here: http://www.google.com/mobile/mail/

The enhanced gmail plugin also allows you to label and star emails. You can search you email as well from your BlackBerry. I haven't used the Gmail app in some time.

GMail doesn't have subfolders. GMail uses labels to flag messages.
To utilize labels on the BlackBerry, you need to have the Enhanced GMail Client installed on your handheld.

The current version of BIS supports two-way message reconciliation with GMail as well as wireless contact and calendar sync.

The most recent GMail update did wonders for BlackBerry compatibility and really made it a permier email provider for BB users. So much smoother and more full-featured than you may remember.

I believe the Enhanced GMail Client comes pre-installed on the Torch.

Go ahead and install it. If you already have the plug-in then doing this won't hurt anything.

Does this advice apply also to Bold 9870? I'm not sure if I have the Enhanced Gmail plugin auto-installed with OS 6, and I don't know how I would check.

Guys,
I might be getting $%#$%D up here but which option do i go for here, I have just bought the Google Apps for Business:

How would you like to set up mail on Blackberries?

You have two options for configuring mail on your Blackberry.

xxx8226;Google Mail for Mobile Application is a downloadable application that allows users to access Google Apps Email through a similar interface as on their computerxxx8217;s web browser. You can search any message, apply labels and view messages in conversations.
xxx8226;<BlackBerry email through IMAP allows users who prefer to access email from their native BlackBerry email application to do so using their BlackBerry carrierxxx8217;s Internet service.
xxx8226;If you currently have a Blackberry Enterprise Server, you can use the Google Apps Connector for BlackBerry Enterprise Server to synchronize mail, calendar and contacts

I want to be able to use my BB the same way I used (god forbid me for saying an iPhone) i.e. sync mail calanders and contacts on a two way syncwith outlook as well

Thanks in advance

Thanks in advance
