Default Not syncing e-mail since OS upgrade

Please Login to Remove!

Hi, New to the forum, and my topic search did not find a similar issue.

about 1 - 2 months ago I reinstalled/upgraded BB OS10 to my Classic. Ever since, I have not been able to see my e-mail on the phone, and the setup will not accept my information.

Not sure even what questions to ask, as I find myself pretty technically ignorant.

WHat are my first steps to troubleshooting?

Thanks in advance.

If you email accounts still show in setup and you just need to enter a password to validate, then that is the first thing to try.

Be aware whether your service requires you to use an app password or not. This is common when you have two-factor authentication enabled on the service. If you have been trying to log in with your regular password and getting an error, then look into app password. (Different services may call it differently. App password is what Microsoft calls it. When you understand the concept, it's the same with others, just maybe another name.)

If your email account was still in setup after the OS upgrade, waiting for you to validate, and you validate properly and still get an error, then delete the account from the device, power off the device, wait 15-30 minutes or so (SWAG) and then power on the device and try again. Make sure, though, that you know whether to use app password or your account password.

Good suggestions. I totally forgot you had mentioned these before. I also had to use your suggested revalidate method.

Thanks

Friend of mine has a dog like yours and he's great. the only problem is he wants to sit on our lap when visiting. That was ok when he was a pup but now WOW.
