Default Now Playing Preview

If the Media Player is paused and the phone is closed, you get a preview of what was playing. Is there a way to turn this off? I almost always have music paused in the background and I'd rather see the time and date instead.

Not that I am aware of.

Please update your phone model in your BBF profile. This will help others in assiting you with questions about your Kickstart. Thanks.

I'm still looking for that feature myself, because, like you, I leave the "now playing" open most of the time.

The one thing I have noticed is that when I plug it in, the clock appears again, so I'm guessing bed-time mode must make the clock show vs the now-playing, not sure if there is any way to get bed-time mode more often (or even what it really does, new to this whole blackberry thing).

Yeah the bedside mode is a workaround to that "issue" but it will dim the screen faster and I think it will also stay on (on the clock)... by default you will not receive LED notifications of incoming messages.. but that can be change (clock-->menu-->options)

So there you have it.... (thanks Arla)

The one other way I've found to do it (any good way to get it to enter bedside mode after a certain amount of time? I don't see any way to enter bedside mode other than when charging, or when you manually select it) is to stop now playing, rather than just pausing, that works reasonably for me since most of the time while I like to leave my playlist ready, I don't actually need it paused.

Thats a good option, but I do like to leave then pause, just because I use it almost always in Bluetooth mode, so I pause it from the Headphones or BT Car Stereo... and there is no way to full stop it from there....

Anyway I would have like many changes from a software point of view in this player... one is to use the outside selectable buttons with while phone closed to change between clock and playmode....
