I bought the entire kit and wound up taking off everything except for the screen protector. I didn't like the way it felt with the back covered and the buttons felt strange with it one. So I peeled it all off.

I've had Invisible shield on a Pearl and 2 Curves. I tried Bodyguardz because Invisibleshield didn't make one for my wife's phone and I was impressed enough that I went with them for the Bold.

Their protectors (I can only speak for the screen as I can't stand them elsewhere on the body) are clearer than Invisibleshield which has a bit of distortion on the screen. They apply the same way and are a bit less fussy to get on. They appear to be equally durable. I will say that they are not quite as precisely cut as Invisibleshield but more than adequate.

I am also looking for a quality screen protector for the Bold. After doing a bit of google research, it seems the Invisible Shield has a slight "orange peel" effect to it. Anyone confirm, is that what you mentioned roid?

A company called bestskinsever kept coming up and seems to have an equally good and clearer product for a lot less.

the unfortunate thing about this cover is that over time, the edges collect dust and dirt, and well.. you can assume the rest. The awesome thing is that it does protect the phone well though..

Just got mine 5 days ago. Looks very good, the "orange peel" effect is only visible if you look very carefully.

Bold seems very well protected. I also like the feeling of it "sticking" to my fingers, as opposed to being slipper which gives me the feeling that it will not slip from my hand. But this may be just me

However there is one BIG downside! Once you have the whole kit put on Bold it is very hard to slide in or out from the original sleeve!
You will most probably need some other storage solution. I will be getting myself a Seidio Spring-Clip Holster, a friend of mine has one for BB8310 and it works very well.

Another option is Best Skins Ever. I've been using this brand for the last few phones I had and it works well also.

I've used invisishield on my phones for years, including the Bold. I pretty much order it as soon as it is available if I know I'll be purchasing the phone soon.

I'm also using the screen only. I see no dirt or dust under mine or around the edges and it doesn't peel. It seems to be a secure and seamless fit. I'm not sure what the orange peel effect is as you wouldn't know I had a screen protector on mine. OK the feel of the screen has more friction than the slippery plastic unprotected screen so that might give it away.

The only time I notice mine is when I wipe the phone down with alcohol about once a week to clean it. That makes it very the shield streaky so I need to clean it with a damp cloth.

Best Skins Ever is cheaper and equal quaility. Full body kit was a pain to install on Bold. Only have the screen now. Have full body on my 8830 though and like the feel and protection. Easy install on 8820. Also easy install on Son's Iphone.

Default Best Skins Ever

Just got my Best Skins Ever screen protector today and just put it on.

My advice is take it slow, use a spray bottle and really give it a few sprays till you see some big droplets on it. I only gave it a thin coating and once on the Bold I had about 4-6 seconds before it started to stick. You have time after that though to get the bubbles out and it still remains slightly stretchy for a minute or so.

12 hours later and there are crack like marks on the screen but I know it needs a few days to dry and for the liquid to evaporate. Already keyed it though as I couldn't resist and its solid

My only gripe is that it's not an exact fit. I thought it would be easy as the lip on the bottom of the screen would act as a guide when laying it down. But it's flush against the lip and its half a mm short around the top curve and a quarter mm short on the edges.

Anyone's fit exact? Sorry I'm a perfectionist

IMO, it's not worth it. I think PDA's look better when worn a little. It's not worth it being anal about a phone.
