Default Will QWERTY 8100 Be Made?

Please Login to Remove!

Just wondering if we will ever get a QWERTY 8100. I only tried using the suretype keyboards once and hated it... just confusing I don't get how it works.

If it comes out in '07, Sprint should have a QWERTY 8100 by Christmas of 2015 at the earliest.

I would say 2020 to be safe. 2015 might be jumping the gun a bit.

I don't NEED it, I WANT it.

That isn't the point anyway. Sprint is unbelievably slow when it comes to releasing new BB's. Do you realize Sprint hasn't even released an 8700 model phone? Sprint REALLY angers me.

Try it again, it's very simple and easy once you get the hang of it and it also works well.

The easiest advice I can give you is don't pay attention to what's on the screen when you type, just pay attention to the key pad and press the letter you want next. Suretype will get it right 99% of the time.

That's because RIM hasn't released a CDMA 8700.

According to engadget, we will get a QWERTY cameraberry, but it will be called the 8200 and will have a larger profile...about the size of a Q...

That is a good point, but isn't there more to it than that? Doesn't Sprint simply have to tell RIM "HEY - we want a CDMA version of the 8700 to sell to our customers"??? Sprint probably has to pay some money and RIM develops it?

I don't know, but I would think Sprint has to step up to the plate before RIM will make it...

Just turn off the SURETYPE and use the MULTITAP. It is very easy to get used to!

RIM tends to release GSM versions of their devices first, rather than CDMA, simply because the worldwide market for GSM is so much larger.
