Default Transcend 2 gig card not recognized in my Pearl?

Please Login to Remove!

hi

so, i picked up a 2 gig Transcend micro SD card for my pearl a couple weeks ago. installed it with no problems, loaded it with music and it worked fine for about a week or so.

the other day my phone just stopped recognizing the card. it doesn't show up in my phone or through desktop manager. but all my files are still on the card when i explore them through my phone on my computer

my 1 gig kingston card is still working fine, though

has this happened to anyone else or anyone know what i can do? thanks

I had a similar thing happen to my 2g micro SD card, but it was a few day and not weeks, and I cant even turn on my Pearl. Screen flashes white and the Red indicator light flashes. When I remove the card my Pearl works fine.

Any chance you'd consider formating the card (phone preferably) and then reloading your files and see if that works? I suspect its hardware related but what have you got to lose? Not to knock either of you guys brands but, I try and stick with SanDisk or maybe Kingston as I've yet to have issues with them. My $.02

Smile 1gb vs 2gb micro cards

I bought a cheap 1gb card, this thing was lousy caused my pearl to freeze... it was some make called Kingmax, bought from cellphoneshop.net
Today, Office Depot had a special Sandisk 1gb micro sd card for $24, got one and am confident this will work as even RIM website or Blackberry website itself sells the same thing for $44 and recommends this as an original for use with the Pearl. I will stick with Sandisk or other well known brands than these cheap ones which many websites sell...
