Default Mail stopping intermittently

Please Login to Remove!

Not sure if this is a common thing (or even a Bold thing) but I've had my Bold for one week (upgraded from an 8800) and 3 times this week BIS mail delivery has stopped overnight.

I turn off the Mobile Network connection and turn it back on again and it all starts flowing again and all the messages that accumulated during the night are downloaded.

Is this a common thing?

On TMO and this happened to me. I resent service books, and all was good. But had a lag a day or three ago as well. I dont think its the device, but probably service provider or service book issues.

When this happens does the little 4 dot icons disappear between the signal indicator and 3G icon?

No, emails just dont come in. Although you may not have cell service, which could cause some issues!

I doubt the .167 version has anything to do with it, but it might. I am still running .162, hesitant to upgrade until I start experiencing the issues other have.

EDIT 10/25 930am: Was awaken to no emails on my bold...so hopped on the computer and had a string of important emails awaiting. So guess I will bother TMobile again today!

EDIT 10/25 10am: Called TMo and there is a outage in my area here in Kansas (Wichita area). So that may be my reason. They did say that they were experiencing major outages elsewhere as well but only informed me specifically about my area. So this is one of two things friends TMo is upgrading something (or fixing something that has gone bad with an upgrade) or else is just having issues - but weather is nice here in Kansas, so I think they're upgrading something! (Been a customer for about 5 years now, you know the signs)

I sent the service books to my Bold yesterday and will keep an eye on this. I'm still running the original OS on my handset (.144).
