Exclamation User not able to send emails

Please Login to Remove!

Hey Guys,

I have a user, the CEO, who is on our BES4 server, who is unable to send emails to recipients.

He says they are showing up as being sent, but the users are not receiving those emails. Using Outlook 2003 w. Exchange 2003.

I called Cingular, and they said to try removing him from the BES, and readding him. This is now showing a Ststus of Initializing, for the past 1 hour, and he still isnt able to send any emails from the device.

Does anyone have any suggestions as to what may fix this issue?

Please advise, and thanks in advance for your help.

Chris H.

Im looking at the BES logs, and this comes up for his account:

[30000] (08/14 07:45:33):{0x538} Queuing alarm: BlackBerry Messaging Agent SERVERNAME Agent 1 (Application Event Log on SERVERNAME): 08/14/2006 07:45:28 (AFFF4F29) -> {username@domainname.com} MAPIMailbox::Send(ppMAPIMessage) - SubmitMessage (0x80070005) failed

If you've removed and re-added him, he'll need to complete the Enterprise Activation again to get anything to work.....

Have you applied any Exchange 2003 Post SP2 hotfixes? if so, you may need to modify you're service accounts permissions in the AD for Send As rights. The recents Exchange security patches moved SendAs rights from the Exchange security model into the AD.

See MS KB article kb912918 or RIM's article KB-04707
