This is driving me insane! Any other ideas of something you have to do?

Thanks alot for your help guys ;) At least there is someone to commizerate with ;) I called RIM and sat onhold for damn near an hour and just got bored and hung up....

Default two more screens

Ok when I first log into the internet service and click add new email account... then enter the email and password it'll come to this next screen

Then check the same option I did and you'll get the screen you need to change to POP like this:

Lemme know if this works...

I wish it were that easy! It looks like TMO doesnt allow POP, i cant find a way to change it. Ive been on the phone for an hour with TMo trying to figure that out.

Well, if they dont allow POP is there another option?

Doesn't make sense to me.. it should work the same as mine. Too bad the technical assistance people usually don't know what they're talking about lol.

Try one more from scratch.

1. Enable POP in google apps mail settings.
2. Log into blackberry internet service.
3. Add new email.
4. Enter email address and password.
5. Wait for screen to show up as in first screenshot of post#25 above.
6. Click on "I will provide the settings to add this email account".
7. On next screen (2nd screenshot of post#25) enter in email address, user name (which is full email address again), password, server (pop.gmail.com), check POP and check Use SSL
8. Click OK or try again and pray.

Lol, Sorry if that doesn't help then I'm not sure what's going wrong... but every service provider has to offer the POP option.

Good luck!

Dude, i think it worked! I had to go the ass backwards route through RIM and wait in line for like another hour...... But, apparently Tmo has a wierd way of getting into the settings like the page you showed above to change the POP/IMAP selection.

The "secret" way is when creating an email account dont enter a password just click continue and it will take you to the settings page.

I am finally starting to get mail!

OK, I thought you wanted the Gmail Java App for your domain.

But it sounds like you wanted to use the BB's email app to check (pop/imap) your email from google mail.

Hello karim0028, So that meant I have to call RIM like you did? you can not do it yourself without calling them? and tell them to fix it?

I use google apps myself for my domain and found out you have to setup a POP and SMTP CNAME record in your DNS to the smtp.gmail.com and pop.gmail.com.

Hi all, I tried to add my google hosted account to BIS 2.3 and there is no way to manually add port 995. If anyone have a workaround please let me know.
