I have seen the green skin on the Black Pearl and it does not really bring justice to the SKIN.. in fact, it looked cheesy. But with the White PEARL, the OEM skin (having it a little bit transparent), made it more presentable. The Black Skin too was too dark for the Black Pearl and actually killed the slickness of the unit. But with this... it looks better, more so in real.

I am loving my White Pearl and glad I got one today.

I absolutely adore the white one. If I ever went back to the pearl that would be the one I would get...

Just got my White Pearl today. Looks awesome. Works great. Big upgrade from my MDA. Miss my touch screen, but i rather have a phone that works better as a phone and a pda, over just a good pda.

Welcome bishop709. Hope you enjoy your stay here.

What made you decide to get the white instead of the black one?

I also have a white Pearl. Its not really just white, the pics don't do it justice. It is a pearlesence it changes colors in the light, thats why in one of the pics it looks yelllow. I also came from an Treo 600 and MDA. The MDA is Touch sensitive poop compared to my pearl!

Does the white version come with the silent ring tone fix? When someone is calling and if your track ball is rolled, it slients the ring? I hate that problem!

Blackberry Pearl Turns…Pearl

Rogers Wireless has announced that it will introduce a pearl white version of the popular Blackberry Pearl smartphone by Research in Motion.

Set to debut on February 1, the version finished in the trendy new colour will include all the same features as the piano black version, and come housed in the same small design.

The BlackBerry Pearl is the first of the BlackBerry family to combine a digital camera, multimedia capabilities and an expandable memory slot, along with wireless data and voice functionality.

The phone retails for $249.99 on a three year voice and data plan, and is available exclusively from Rogers Wireless in Canada.

I had the blackberry in black and after having that since the came out, many of my friends copied me so I just had to get this new white one. LOL And its not just plain white. It has a pearly shimmer to it. I actually like it. I do have to admit that I am a girly girl, so that explains why I would prefer the pearly white one over the traditional black one. The buttons are a lot sturdier and the font on the buttons seem to be a tad bit larger. All the cables are white. No new themes, unless you unlock them but thats a totally different discussion, includes the latest v4.2.0.64 software. Many more fonts to choose from. Thats all that I noticed so far. Oh, and I bought mine for $200.00.

Clicking refresh usually clears up that message but their update is not newer than Cingularxxx8217;s update. Go here http://www.blackberryforums.com/gene...multilang.html

Nope.

Imcoming call, roll track ball, DOES NOT mute the ring tone.

Does anyone have more pics of the White Pearl with BB OEM skin in black?
If you do, pls post them here.

I've read the Seidio jet back skin collects lots of dust lint. Has that problem been resolved yet? Does the blackberry oem black skin have the same problem?

Thanks.
