It is at buy.com. Just click on that link - and it will take you to the page where the deal is. Once you check out, you will have an opton called 'Google Checkout'. To use Google Checkout, you will have to have a google/gmail account (worth creating, if you don't already have one).
Then, all you need is to type in your Google username and password, and the $10 Google rebate is automatically rebate. On top of that you have a $9 mail-in rebate as well.
hope this helps

yeah - i'm kinda curious about this as well. I am about to get mine in the mail, but not sure on the setup of a MicroSD. I was going to search the forums, but if someone has a quick 1,2,3 step process - that would be very helpful

thx

I'm guessing you didn't format it using the Pearl? If you do, you will see that a few folders have been created in the memory card. (Blackberry Main Folder-->Music, Video, etc.) Drag music files into the music folder, videos into the video, etc.

And I didn't know this, but on my old Moto phone, I had to take out the transflash card, put it in a reader, then plug it into my computer, then put it back into my phone. With the Pearl, just plug the supplied usb cable in and you have access to the memory card straight from the Pearl. I know, not too exciting, but I thought it was cool.

Are you sure its a MICRO SD? I made the mistake of picking a MiniSD at first.

Has anyone tested a 2GB microSD in the pearl? Does it work? Or does it only see 1GB like most other phones?

Thanks!

Many users have reported that as long as you are using OS 4.2.0.51 or higher it works.

Hi guys,

I have just upgraded my phone from VDF UK OS 4.2.0.51 to VDF UK OS 4.2.0.61 and I am thinking of buying a 2GB micro card.

Has anyone tested a 2GB card on OS 4.2.0.61 and preferably on VDF UK?

Just for poll purposes:

Although I use lots of videos: movies, music, 1/2 and 1 hour TV shows, I have opted to stay with the old .42 OS and its 1GB card limitations, mainly because I cannot stand the loss of being able to turn auto-dim off.

I figure I'd fill up the 2GB card just as quick as a 1GB anyway. On trips I plan on carting along a few 1GB cards with videos, so that is my workaround.

Default How to insert MicroSD card?

I just got my 8100 today. Went by Fry's and picked up a 1GB MicroSD, but I can't figure out how to insert it into the Pearl.

I've removed the back and the battery. I slid the media card holder door open. I then placed the MicroSD card in place. Contacts to contacts. Notched tab up. Seated within the holder.

The problem is that I cannot get the media card holder door to close. Something seems to bump into the MicroSD. I've tried shifting the door and the card around to get them to line up, but nothing so far. Tomorrow, I will go by Cingular store and see if they can insert it, but I got the feeling when I got the phone that they may not have a lot of experience with them yet and they don't have any cards in yet.

Any suggestions?
