1 - Take a deep breath; it will be ok
2 - download JL_CMDER (search for it here) and completely wipe out your BB
3 - locate and delete VENDOR.XML on your C: drive and delete it
4 - Restart Desktop Manager and your BB should load the new OS (try not to have it unplug this time)

After it is done, you will have to restore the data that was backed up as part of the initial (failed) upgrade. Use Desktop Managers restore facility and point to the file create in the initial step of the first upgrade.

Good luck!

i dont think the issue is resolved in the new software .64 - i still get that annoying problem regularly.

i also don't see the benefit of standby over key lock. can someone explain?

although I have found .64 to be a big improvement on the original TMOB software, I have the following HUGE bugs:
1. From the home screen, I normally start typing a name to send an SMS or place a call. 8 out of 10 times after typing the 3rd letter, I get a Java Exception error. It seems that if I type slow, it does not happen, but that may be a coincidence.
2. I have had the phone reboot twice while receiving a call while typing an SMS
3. When in standby, it rarely allows me to answer a call

I have that exact same issue ! I was searcing to see if anyone else gets it. Its really starting to tick me off ! Also, I am unable to install any software.... I tried installing "pocket day personal" and it installed OK , but as soon as I click on it, the Pearl hangs. The same thing happened when I installed "Blackberry Alerts". After un-installing the application, the Pearl works fine... Any Ideas?

There are permissions problems with these applications. Here's how I got Pocket Day working.

Install Pocket Day BUT DO NOT RUN IT.

Go into Options / Advanced / Applications

Locate Pocket Day - click the Menu button and select "Edit Permissions"

Make sure the top three permissions are set to Allow

Save this and Pocket Day should work. I haven't use BlackBerry Alerts, but it may work the same way.

Is the new vodafone update the same as the o2 update? Does it support 2gb?
