Default Software Available to Control Backlight?

Please Login to Remove!

I have a 7230 and miss the feature on my Psion5 that allow me to set the backlighting to automatically turn on after a certain time of day when I access the device.

Is there something like this available for the BB?

Thanks!

Search for, and then download and install "BBLight".
It may do what you are looking for.

Thanks! I think that may do what I'm looking for. I'll look for some instruction. I'm not sure when you set time of day how the application knows to STOP activating beyond another time. For the time being I'll have it activate on access.

For anyone else interested, I found it here:

Sorry. It's a little overwhelming leaning this device and finding all the info available. I should know better being a forum admin myself!

It's Alex from A Clockwork Orange. I have a host of avatars from my forum but they are all a little over he 120pxl restriction imposed here. I'll change it soon. It is a little over the top...

BBLight option settings allow for your backlight to turn On on User Activity, when removed from Holster, when connected to charger, and/or at a preset time. How long the light is on is controlled by the Screen/Keyboard Option, or upon return to holster.

So does that mean the Duration (mins): is the length of time from From: the program will turn the light on if this option is selected?

IOW: If I set From: to 1800, do I enter 240 under duration if I want the light activated for the next 4 hours?

That's the part I'm not getting. Why not just add a To: time instead?
