Default Blackberry Calendar Partial Sync with Outlook

Please Login to Remove!

Blackberry-ers,

Need a little help. I have a Blackberry 8330 via Verizon, and I cannot get it to completely sync with my Outlook 2007 Calendar. Some items sync fine, but a bulk of them are simply skipped over. I have read countless forums on the matter, and here is what I've done thus far:

- Upgraded to the latest desktop and device software (DM:4.7, BSv4.5.0.77)
- Deleted Facebook 1.5
- Deleted and re-installed my email accounts (I have 3)
- Deleted all entries in my Outlook Calendar
- Set my DM to sync "From Device to Calendar", "Both ways," and back again
- Set my Default CICAL to each and every bloody email address I have, then tested and retested to see if I can get them to sync.

A note of interest; On my Blackberry, when I go to Calendar>Options>Device Default, it lists "Number of Entires: 1033". These are the entries that will not sync. I'm not sure how to get them to synchronize, any ideas?

Thanks in advance!

Does the error log give any indication as to which record it might be?

Is there a blank record that is causing it to stop?

You could also see if it will sync to Google. That might show a bad record.

One thing to do it remove the SD card and see if that works - stranger things have happened.

You could also try a battery pull to see if that works.

You could also try DM 4.6 or 4.7 without media manager.

Hey Dub,

Thanks for the quick reply, here are the answers to your queries:

- No error log to speak of. It simply skips over al ost all of the entries
- No clue whether a blank record exists, or how to find one
- Never used Google, don't even know where to start
- Pulled the SD card once, no change
- Pulled the Battery, waited several minutes, then reinstalled. Still Nada
- Worked my way up the DM versions, nothing

Try this, Options -> Advanced Options -> Service Books, delete all CICAL entries.

Reset the sync in the desktop manager

reconfigure the sync in the desktop to sync only the calendar from Device to Outlook

Post back what happens.

Excellent!!

Now login to your BIS account and resend your service books.

Then check back, Options -> Advanced Options -> Default Services, the CICAL entry will now be set to one of you email address head back to your calendar and verify all your calendar events are under that email address.

Note: Try not to change the Default CICAL entry if you do next time you sync it will sync to a different calendar, but if you want to change the default CICAL entry post back.
