greetings. Just got my 7100 and want to manage my contacts in address book. I am trying to add members to my address group but I do not see an option for selecting a member to add to a group. is there a bug or what am I missing?

Well I'm not sure EXACTLY what you are asking so I will answer it the two questions I think you might be asking.

One if you want to arrange people into different groups then when you edit the contact information there is a category section. This allows you to create and place people into different groups. You can then choose to filter out groups on the address book view from the menu.

If you are trying to make groups for emailing then you need to go to new group from the menu in address book and type the group name and then add whoever you want from your address book.

These are the only things I could think of to solve you problem. I hope they help.

Thank you very much for the reply. Basically, I want to do the first thing you mentione - be able to filter based on my criteria. Is it possible to select many contacts to put into a select criteria? Or does it have to happen one at a time? Seems awfully time consuming...

One at a time as far as I know.. Of course if you sync with outlook you can do it a little faster on the pc.

Unfortunately, we use Lotus Notes and I didn't see a field that allows you to change among the different categories.
oh well
