I have a BB Style 9670, this is my first BB and the first time with a data package.

My problem is I currently have no Wi-Fi access to obtain pod cast and other relate downloads.

I have installed the BB desktop software and have figured out how to do updates via my computer but can't seem to find any options that allow me to connect to the internet for said downloads.

Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.........

You say you have a data package. Is that the specific blackberry data service?

The only thing I can tell you about the data package is it's whatever Sprint set it up with when we got the phones.

You can only download Podcasts in the BlackBerry Podcasts app over WiFi. There's currently no work around.

Looks as if I'll be setting up a WiFi connection sooner than I thought.

You can download relatively small files over the mobile network with the blackberry browser. The hotspot/wifi browser does not present any size limit. However, the BlackBerry podcast app and at least one third-party podcatcher will download large files over the mobile network.

Do a search. Someone asked a similar question the other day and another member mentioned the third-party podcatcher. And it souinded like you can input the URL for the file and download. But the BlackBerry podcast app is adequate for subscribing to audio and video podcasts.
