Default Recommendations for a newbie?

Please Login to Remove!

Okay, so just picked up my shiny new blackberry pearl flip from the T-Mobile store, and starting to configure it, and well, have a few questions.

All I've really done so far is play around with the web a little, and check the two text messages that T-Mobile sent me.

Is there any recommended software to install? I'm looking to start getting GMail and Yahoo, and, if possible, my work outlook, although that may be a bit more challenging (don't want to set it up through a BES, even if they have one).

Anyway, any advice on what to (or not to) install to get this phone working as good as possible is much appreciated.

Wirelessly posted (8320 Titanium)

My suggestion is to check out

http://blackberryfaq.com/index.php/Main_Page

And also use the search feature on this site and you'll be able to set up those email account, get them filtered to not get duplicates, etc.

I recommend that you read the users guide and our FAQ at the very least. And before you start adding things and changing things, make sure you understand how a BB works.

I assume that you have a BB data plan since you used it for the web.You will need that for email.
