Mine just arrived.

The screen is widder than pearl's.

USB is not standard. So will have to carry the cable everywhere. And can't charge with other BB/Motorolla USB chargers.

Camera is better than pearl's.

When the package arrived today, I opened it up and found....a BB 8820. TMo shipped the wrong phone. But, they shipped the leather pouch and car charger. The car charger is branded Motorola and is nothing more than a micro-USB charger.

Don't carry the cable.. and don't thow out those old BB and Moto USB chargers...

Vist the T-Mobile store. Ask for the "Charging Adapter for Moto Razr2 V8" SKU SUPM93367, it costs $4.99. Its a Mini-B to MicroUSB adapter. Its small, so its easy to carry. Works just fine with my Moto V9M, LG Dare, LG env2 and BB 8220, (all of which use MicroUSB connectors) and allows me to re-use my Moto Mini-B usb chargers and cables.

If you want to buy it online, search for Moto SKN6252A

The amps aren't the same between the chargers, be careful.

I understand the electronics side of the difference in current so I know why you are recomending caution.

But I've been using the Moto adapters with my phones for a while now. No problems yet.

USB Ports are 5v 500mA and the devices can charge via that.

The Moto charger on my desk at work is a Moto SPN5202A... 5V 850mA, and I've used it with my 8100, 8320 and 8120, as well as my V3C, V9M and Dare.

The RIM chargers in the box from RIM are 750mA, but the Moto phone's complain that its an "unauthorized charger".. EDIT: the 8820's microUSB charger is 700mA/EDIT

The charger from my Moto V3C is 5v 500mA. My car charger is rated the same. .

The only difference... using the 500mA charger or USB port, it charges slower than the with the 750/850mA chargers.

Good info! The wife has a BB charger at work and this should fix the problem of a second charger.

I'm glad I found this thread. The biggest thing I hated when I looked at the 8220 was the dang different charge/data jack. I was bummed out right away. I figured there was some sort of adapter, but figured it would be big and not usable. Cool!

I picked up a whole bunch of them online (after buying out the local T-Mobile store). They work very nicely.
