Hey mate,
Wierd huh? We both have the complete opposite, my 7290 has it but the 7100 does'nt. Swap phones? haha.
I'll wait till someone has some idea on how to get it on there without having to reinstall the OS again on my 7100....

I successfully loaded this on my T-Mobile 7290 with only one problem... my PocketDay no longer works. :( I deleted the app, rebooted, downloaded the latest version, rebooted again, but still doesn't work. The icon shows up but won't allow you into the program when clicking on it. Anyone else having this problem?

Downloading now for my Cingular 7290. I have been eagerly awaiting this ever since I heard it will sync over bluetooth. It better damn well work! I'm concerned that some people don't seem to have the appropriate options available on their 7290s. Can anyone else speak up about that?

Still don't see a post on how to install it. Damn, how many posts do you have...?
Every post in here is "loded on xxxx and this does or doesn't work"
"did you delete the vendor.xxx file?
Still tells me jack, ass.
Now I will explain further. When DL the file, it have me one file. I click on it and it goes through an install. Opens my desktop mgr and then says install complete. Hmm, still looks the same. I couldn't find anywhere where it could have loaded something new on to my desktop either.
So I do ask one more time, how do I install this?

If I'm not mistaken you have to remove the vender file before you run the installer program. Try that and see if it makes a difference.

I installed it just fine.. if you don't know how to force a reinstallation of your BB software, perhaps this just isn't for you..

headtailgrep, instead of bashing me and telling me this isnt for me..dont you think you would have more class by explaining how its done (most of the people here that explain, tend to be more respected)..you should think abt that for a minute

I followed these directions and I was able to load it fine. However, I took out the vendor.xml file before I installed the Hong Kong CSL 4.1 on my pc, I then made sure that vendor.xml was still gone, started my desktop manager and I immediately received the update window. See if that works, if you haven't tried it already. I'm on a 7290 from Cingular.

Everything seems to work great on my 7105t....
only problem is any extra themes I download throw the infamous:
Uncaught exception: java.lang.illegalArgumentException.
Anyone know how to get that resolved?

There shouldn't be anything to force.
1. Install the Hong Kong software for your specific device. Do not run desktop manager yet.
2. Delete the vendor.xml from your PC.
3. Start Desktop Manager.
4. If your BB is detected the Apploader should automatically launch and prompt you to install the 4.1 handheld software.
If this isn't working, can I ask what type of Blackberry you have and what software you are downloading? Something isn't adding up.

I think people should explain where to find the vendor.xml file which would simplify some things up and all the questions.
