I am currently experienceing the same problem, I have read the FAQ and currently have the handheld software 4.2.1 and have the desktop software installed. My bb software version is 4.2.1.96. I still get the error message when adding apps.

Do you have a checklist in apploader for all the OS applications on your device or does the list just show your 3rd party apps?

It shows Blackberry 4.2 system software. Core applications and then the other applications.

sorry guys but i'm having the same problem as well. I just received my curve a couple of days ago, so please be patient and help a blackberry newb please. I went to DM and clicked on help, about desktop manager, and the device software MATCHES EXACTLY the same as my device, which is v4.2.2.180 (Platform 2.5.0.36). However, when i try to add an application in app loader, it lets me add some files, but for others the error message comes up. what should i do?

i have followed the link and done everthing i have 4.2.2.175 on my phone and computer i have the latest dm v.6. and i still have the problem i can upload games using dm but its just themes i have tried all kinds of themes and yes they are themes for my device and os. any help??

the loader is 4.3.0.17

whenever I try to load a 3rd party software from the desktop using the alx file extension I get the following error message:No additional applications designed for your device were found. Any ideas on what I can do to fix this? Thanx much
