Default Help with Desktop 4.3 "Cannot Find System in Table File" BIS

Please Login to Remove!

I wanted to update my BB last night and the FAQ said to make sure I am running 4.3 desktop. I was running 4.2 so I updated it. It sees the BB but I can't configure the sync.

It sees my outlook profile, but when I go to 'finish' the setup I get the following message:

"Cannot find system in table file"

Picture:

I get this error for each (Memo, Cal, ToDo, etc).

Steps I've done:

Manually uninstalled Desktop Manager + Roxio.
Restart PC + Batt Pull
Re-Install fresh Desktop Man + Roxio.
Restart PC
Connect BB to PC
Same issue.

I'm on BIS not BES, and I set it up that way when installing.

I got the 4.3 install file direct from RIMs site.

Any help would be wonderful. RIM won't support an end user and Verizon is stumped.

Thanks,
Erik

Verizon passed me on to RIM tech support who couldn't figure it out either. Their suggestion was to reinstall the previous version...which worked fine.

Default Another "Cannot find system in table file" error.

Hi,

Couldn't find a work around via the search option so I thought I'd bump this back up.

I have a 8820, unlocked.
Desktop version 4.3.0.15
Handheld OS version 4.2.2.184 (Platform 2.5.0.40)

When I try to finish my Outlook syc'ing configuration, I get the error:
"Cannot find system in table file"

Searching the Blackberry site (not forums) knowledge base did not yield any results either.

Anyone out there managed to fix this error?

Burton

I was on the phone with RIM directly for over an hour. The rep said they have a lot of bugs with the new version and to uninstall and re-install the older version. I did, and it works fine. I guess I'll wait for 4.4 or 4.3X?

Default "Cannot find system in Table file" - problem solved?

ok, i don't know if i solved the problem, but i got this same error and now it is working fine. here's what i was doing:

First off, i'm on Vista Home (if that matters or not):
* I had v4.2 of the software and i downloaded v4.3
* I installed v4.3 and tried to do a Sync of my Outlook contacts. It looked like it was going to accept the sync configuration, but ended up giving me the "Cannot find system in table file" error.
* I decided to uninstall the entire software from my computer and start over.
* Control panel, add/remove programs. Removed. Rebooted.
* Reinstalled v4.3. Rebooted.
* Launched v4.3 software, connected my blackberry, launched Outlook (not sure if this needs to be running or not, but decided to try), setup the sync in v4.3 and it worked like a charm. No problems.

Soooo...things above that might work for you...?
a. Uninstall v4.2 first, do not let v4.3 go on top of it?
b. Maybe make sure outlook is running during your first sync attempt?

I had uninstalled (rebooted) then re-installed before and it didn't work. Glad it worked for you...maybe for others as well. I was on an XP machine.

I have the same problem. I will try to uninstall and downgrade to an older version. Hopefully it will work.

Default Have you Tried this New Link from Blackberry Support?

(note - I can't post the full link because I have less than 10 posts)

Doc ID : KB15278
Last Modified : 2008-04-23
Document Type : Support

Cause

The error occurred after upgrading from BlackBerry Desktop Manager 4.2.2 to version 4.3. The upgrade failed to remove the Connectors folder in C:\Program Files\Research In Motion\BlackBerry\Connectors. As a result, the old Microsoft Outlook desktop applications are registered with BlackBerry Desktop Manager 4.3.

Resolution

If the Connectors folder is still present in C\Program Files\Research In Motion\BlackBerry\Connectors\MS Outlook Connector, follow these steps:

1. Unregister the old Microsoft Outlook connector ilxolkCompanion.fil.
1. Open the command prompt.
2. Navigate to C:\Program Files\Research In Motion\BlackBerry\Connectors\MS Outlook Connector.
3. Type in the command regsvr32 -u ilxolkCompanion.fil.
4. In Desktop Manager, Microsoft Outlook will no longer be listed as an available desktop application.
2. Register the most current Microsoft Outlook connector.
1. Navigate to C:\Program Files\Research In Motion\BlackBerry\IS71 Connectors\MS Outlook Connector.
2. Type in the command regsvr32 msoutlookconnector.fil.
3. In Desktop Manager, Microsoft Outlook will now be registered as an available desktop application.

Once these steps have been completed, configure synchronization again.

So, when I get down to the:
2. Type in the command regsvr32 msoutlookconnector.fil.

I get a message that says: "The module "msoutlookconnector.fil was loaded but the call to the DllRegisterServer failed????

Any ideas?

Hello, JP420.

Thank you so much for sharing your resolution. It is fantastic! It saved me so much time and aggravation. Plus, the newer sync software appears to be more accurate with the data syncing process so I am very pleased that I didn't have to downgrade.

You're the greatest

Doug
