Does DIAL BY NAME work on either of those versions?

Don't know if this will be part of the next update, but it was on Verizon's list of things presented to RIM.

The whole DTMF thing is getting very old.
I can't make calls with out w/o pulling number from my contacts and not make a lot of noise or pick options in phone trees....
This was a big miss on RIM's & VZW part...

Its RIM's design. The carriers didn't have anything to do with it.

Well then RIM missed something in testing, and should get it fixed and send the update out to the cell companies so they can include it in their f/w releases...

if its been fixed, then it likely has been given to the carriers for QA testing. just some are slower than others to complete that process and release it to their users.

Kon, can you use the Zen theme with the sprint upgrade? I just want to clarify - I can use the Sprint F/W on a verizon device?

Thx,

Zen is not available fo rthe 7250s at this point. And from my understanding it is not something that will be available. One never knows however what kind of additional theme features may be in future plazmic releases.

So 4.1 is now out for the 7250, has anyone heard about .291 or .300 for the 7130e?

Well, looking back at the way things have worked with the past...

Telus released the latest firmware first, then Bell. Verizon came in a distant third. I was (and, occasionally, still am) fuming about the lack of .300 firmware, but given the fact that the two early adopters have yet to do so I am not so upset right now.
