Default Bold can vibrate and ring, but not at the same time

Please Login to Remove!

Sorry if this has already been addressed in a post.

I'm running the newest OS (tried w/ the ship version too) and both the "Vibrate" and "Tone" profile options work as expected.

However "Vibrate + Tone" results in the phone vibrating only. This is the problem.

I've tried wiping the device already and cannot fix this.

Any suggestions?

Yea do a search, there are tons of threads on it.
Try downloading BUZZ ME its an app that lets it ring and vibe at the same time. Read instructions carefully becuase you have to alter some setting for it to work.

BlackBerry has never allowed this. Wiping your device will not "fix"it.

I use BerryBuzz, which not only changes the LED colour for phone calls, sms, etc.. but it has the vibe+ring at the same time as an option.

I use VibAndRing. Set it up once, change the option in your profile to ring only and the phone will do both simultaneously. I think the app is about $5, and I got it during a 20% off sale at handango.

BuzzMe works well, too - it's in the Apps Store, and it's free.

BuzzMe works fine: it only works for phone calls, but that's ok. Be sure and set your alert to ring only (as stated above) and it will vibe and ring together.

How do you set the alert to ring only?

Is this the same as setting the profile to "Phone only"? Or should I leave it on the "Normal" profile?

I have tried the several things and no go.

for normal profiles (not buzzme)
you go to profiles-advanced-click menu on the profile you want to change and then click edit. then select phone and change at the top to tone instead of tone+vib
then it wont vibrate

BerryBuzz is not for free, the full version costs about $5.95, but they have a trial version for 7 days i think. i have the full version, and it's worth it.

It is indeed. It's so handy to change the colour of your LEDs according to the action going on. In a meeting I can now easy see whether I missed an appointment, SMS, e-mail or phone call without touching the device.

Go into the profiles and set the action to "Vibrate+Tone" then it will vibrate THEN ring.
