You need the real service books - don't think copying them over works.

Check the yellow sticky at the top of the 9500 section for the thread on setting up a 9500 on AT&T and TMO. That should get you started.

In any case, you will need to log into you BIS account, switch the iMEI/ESN/MEID and PIN to that of the new device and then resend service books.

But check the sticky first.

when i try to login to BIS it tells me i have to access from mobile device. i can not do so when the browser does not work. i have apps running on net but no browser or pandora. as well as email will not work.

i also tryed the directions as you suggested.My files do not go to the shared on my pc in that order so i could not do that.

i have just found out that my tour was under it policy to as well. i did how ever remove those using a nice little program JL_Cmder. it works great.

any ideas of how to bet my browser configured to works?

When it says "do it from mobile device" it doesnt mean that site on the browser, it means use the setup email icon on the device.

I didn't think you could use a 9630 in the US on a GSM carrier. Even unlocked.

You can. Can't use the 8830 in the US.

* Fully-functional World Phone that supports global roaming on 3G networks
* Quad-Band: 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900MHz GSM/GPRS/EDGE networks
* Single-Band: 2100 MHz UMTS/HSPA networks
* Dual-Band: 800/1900 MHz CDMA/EVDO Rev A networks

i enstaled the service books using CrackUtil and my browser still says i need service books. my 9630 was on BES. after i reset to factory it tool the it policy off but it still shows that i am using a BES not BIS. when i set it up for the BIS on the web stie for att it tells me i need to do it from device and when i try to set it up from the email setup opion on device it reads "SELECT AN OPTION. I WAT TO USE A BLACKBERRY ENTERPRIS SERVER" it does not show the option to use a BIS or personal email.

how would i go about fixing that?

After getting all the issues fixed, excluding the MY NUMBER issue, i am very pleased with my 9630. i am even using TetherBride MIS in free mode to browse the net on my pc and to post this....FREE TETHERING. TetherBridge Home .

I only have one signal bar on edge, not EDGE, and it works great as good as dsl.

recomend you get this app for your blackberry
