I have app world downloaded on my Storm, but I can't figure out how to access it. I don't see any button anywhere in the menus to get into it.

Nope, not showing up. Guess I'll try to reinstall it. I know I saw it on here before. Guess it's like whe I first bought the phone and the browser button was MIA.

Edited: Reinstall worked.

In AppWorld on a PC browser, is there any way to filter by phone models? On my Storm, AppWorld only presents compatible apps, but on the computer it shows everything.

thanks,

Red face Nice Office Download - I can't use Blackberry App World

is there any way to install an app (nice office) without Blackberry App World?

I am having an issue with Blackberry Browser - I only have access to ATT Media Net on my Bold and I can't get the download for Nice Office.

Can someone please point me directly to the download link?

Good evening all,

a friend pointed me to this forum, and i finaly found a thread that works for me ; )

I am a new blackberry user, so sorry for my noobery, but i need some help !

I recently bought a Blackberry 8520 phone in T-mobile Croatia, and all is well accept I cannot get the damn App World installed on my mobile phone, and I tried everything I could think to do...

I have BB for about three days, I am on a BIS data plan ( reading this forum i see that this is important, especialy from the link mr.jsconyers above me posted ), recieving push mail from 3 different mails, got some apps to work ( irc, weather, some chats etc. ), Pin>Pin conversations work...everything is fine.

I connected my mobile phone to Desktop Manager and all is updated, this is a recap from the About on the cell:

v4.6.1.315 ( Platform 4.2.0.135 )

When i send an e-mail to myself using the blackberry page from a desktop computer, and try to download App World, i get a HTTP 500 Error, when i try to install it from Blackbery HELP! from the shortcut on the phone, i get a "Sorry, your device does not meet the system requirements that are needed to support BlackBerry App World".

I just want to point out, even tough Croatia ( Hrvatska ) is not listed in the "Availability list" a friend ( the one who pointed me on this site ) is ona a VIP provider ( Vodafone carrier for mobile internet ) and has installed App World with ease, and all of the other programs.

Sorry for a longer post but as I said I am new to this so i listed everything I could that should be relevant in order to fix the problem, I like the phone very much but that one thing iritates me ; )

Thanks to all the help, site is great.

Regards, Ivan bagio007 Mijic

EDIT:

P.S. was just wondering, i now have the default Precision Zen ( modified by T-mobile ) theme, but want to make some basic changes on it ( first thing and most important, change the Browser name and icon back to original ( earth with a yellow arrow around it ) and not this w'n'w icon and text ? is it possible without making a big mess of it all ( cus i downloaded a theme called Precision Today 3.0 and it's made a bit of a fuss on my phone ).

After going through various posts, I am still confused. I bought my BB Storm from the USA about 8 months back. I stay in the Middle east (Dubai) and have a unlimited worldwide roaming data plan.
I installed app world and downloaded quite a few apps. A few weeks back the desktop manager updated my operating system to version 5.... and all my problems started.

App world disappeared and I could not reinstall it as my phone is incompatible. I presume it is to with the countries listed. But then I got a link whereby I could download it.

It worked for a few hours and I downloaded 2 apps. Now it says upgrade to a data plan?

Can anybody help me in understanding what is going wrong with my phone?
Thanks

Default Does AppWorld provide a receipt for purchase?

I can't find this information on blackberry.com - does the App World provide an itemized receipt when you make a purchase? I'd like to purchase an expensive app and get reimbursed for it, but a Paypal receipt simply saying "Blackberry App World" isn't going to do- either I have to know that the Paypal charge receipt will list the name of the app, or that I'll get a receipt from App World (somehow) that lists the purchase price and name of the application.

Thanks!
