I'm havin' a hard time downloading the GMail app from gmail.com/app (because we're blocked gmail.com within our corporate firewall). I can download it through Opera, but it can't autodetect my device. Can someone shoot me over the URL for the gmail app specific to the Curve?

What does this app do that is that different from just having the gmail address pushed to the bb?

I use it as a backup email client because it makes the few html emails I recieve readable.
