Default Unable to download PDF file of 16MB and I cant open any pdf's either??

Please Login to Remove!

How can I get to the point of downloading a PDF of this size? I have read other posts and no one seems to have a cut and dry solution for this. That is why I am posting this question here. I also can not open a PDF if I copy it over myself from my computer.Docs to go was already installed on my blackberry. I recently installed the trial pro version to see if I would be able to open a PDF and I still was not able to. I don;t remember the curve having these problems.

Most carriers have file size limits. 16MB most likely exceeds the limits of most carriers.

Also, you need the paid premium version to open a pdf.

If you get a pdf via email as an attachment, most times it will open in a native viewer.
But to read a pdf transferred to your device, you need a pdf app. All of which (or most of which) are paid for apps.

Well, might be - but even two mp3 files are blocked on my 9700. Roughly 3mb together, had to transfer it using my cable...hotmail account, didn't even show up on the mobile hotmail website neither could I download them using the BB mail app. Were visible on the normal website from my notebook, however. :S

It's a blackberry restriction, not a carrier one. In BES you can even configure it. Get Repligo Reader which is the best pdf reader money can buy for the blackberry platform and drop your pdfs to SD.

I use it daily and read easily PDFs from a few MB in size to encyclopaedias and research reports that reach up to 250MB in a single file. Never had a problem.

From the option menu select Reading View and the page is automatically formatted to fit the screen. They offer a free trial so you can test yourself if it works for you.

Hit RepliGo Reader with your bb browser and give it a try.
