I'm currently trying to download a specific piece of software but it's limited to the Bold 9000 - yet, I'm eager to try it out on the 9700. Is it possible to "fake" having a Bold 9000 in the browser? It's blocking the download because my device is "incompatible".
The reason, no matter how bad you want the app, has to do with hardware, screen resolution, keyboard support, and the like. I, for one, do not want to download an 'incompatable' app, just to try it out and find that the app 'doesn't suit my needs'.
Give the app developer a chance to make a version compatable with your device or just send them a polite email.
Well, it does work on the 9700 - yet, I've sold my 9000 when I got my 9700 so I can't put my SIM into the old one and try doing it through DM or anything else. Well, such is life.
