Ok but it's quite annoying for me because of all the mails, facebook messages, jivetalk notifications etc.

Hi everyone,

perhaps a silly question but need to ask it anyway

If I load the Vodafone carrier firmware onto my O2 device after deleting the vendor file, does the phone have vodafone branding on the software. Or is it generic clean firmware?

You will not see any Vodafone branding.

my issue is solved as well btw

i was so pissed that i've decided to install the older OS again...and the loader crashed my phone. it took me 3 battery pulls to get it booting, it was still on .266 but the sound wasn't that loud anymore. i don't know what happened but it's solved...

I just went back to OS .247 to see if I connect to my home wifi. I've connected with no problems. I believe that .266 has problems with the wifi. Everything else worked great with the OS but I really need my wifi connection.

Please let me know if there is a fix for the wifi on .266

Default Not sure if others noticed this

One more issue that I have started noticing is with the media player. The unit reboots everytime I try to exit the media player, whether it is after playing MP3's from unit or streaming radio from moodio. This was not happening with 247

If there's an incoming phone call, the media player mutes out and allows to take the call, but upon completion of call reboots, as if I was exiting the media player.

Anyone else notice this? Seems there

Previously, I had reported about Wi-Fi not working and solution was to use static IP onthe unit, other was bluetooth units crackling noise.

damn, me again :/

my BB seems to be dead right now, the battery was drained from 100 to 0 in like 6 hours, my machines don't recognize it anymore - neither does the BB. it's going into bedside mode upon plugging in but doesn't recharge through USB or ask for the mass storage mode (it's set to always ask upon plugging in on my BB).

how can i get that fixed? the people at the orange shop told me to call the specific blackberry support for re placement because they couldn't do it in their store but i want to give the DIY method a try first.

I reloaded back to .266 and the problem has been corrected with the re-install.

Default 4.6 Os

Works great!
Approx 35 minute elapsed time from beginning to end including backup and restore; but i have very few media files at present.

I'm ready to get an sd card for this guy, but i have a couple questions regarding the microsd card that i have not been able to find answers to...

Is the 9000 (micro) sdhc compatible?
*I am assuming it is since it supports up to a 32 GB card, but it pays to ask the dumb questions sometimes...

What class microsd card (2/4/6) does the 9000 support?
*As far as i can tell, the class represents the transfer rate. Higher is faster.

Any downsides to a card with ECC?

Thx,
dhread

Default OS 4.6 issues

I have had no issues with media player causing reboot on exit.

I just tested a call while playing mp3, no issues on connect or hangup.

Bluetooth (jawbone) is clear; however, i was using the speakers when i tested the call.

The OS appears responsive and stable so far; been using it for about 3 days.

Too many issues with Wifi on this. I reverted back to 244 and it works much better. Plus no image sizing issues.
