I am new to this fourm and I searched the board and didnt see the answer. I was told that when I send a text message there is a way for me to receive a confirmation that it is read. is this true if so how do I go about setting that up?
Well, actually, you can turn it on/off under Options >SMS Text. If the option isn't there then your carrier doesn't support it. TMobile does support it so, most likely, you have the option in there. I *think* it charges you for an extra text message to get the delivery report. It's just a small "D" above the checkmark showing the message sent.
i have a tmobil 8120 and even though i don't have the option to set delivery reports, it is still working. i tested it by turning off my other phone and sending a text to it. no "D" on the 8120 until i turned the other phone on and the message came through. i do have the delivery and read options under email, but they are both off.
Just want to clarify that the T-mobile delivery report (check mark with a letter "D") only means the SMS message is DELIVERED successfully. I don't think it means that the receiver has read the message.
I have a related question that I recently sent a SMS message overseas, it had a check mark with letter D, however my receiver told me later on the phone that she did not get my message at all. What could be wrong?
